NEWS: MEEK MILL BLASTS CASSIDY AFTER TWITTER RETWEETS

Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill and fellow Philadelphia emcee Cassidy had a heated Twitter exchange last night (July 12) over some choice words directed at the Rick Ross protégé.

The short-lived dispute reportedly started after Cass retweeted some controversial statements aimed at Meek.

Uh oh. Looks like Meek Mill is getting himself into another beef. This time with fellow Philadelphia rapper and one time friend, Cassidy. Last night Cassidy retweeted some things fans were saying to him in regards to Meek Mill not collaborating with him since signing with MMG and blowing up. Some of the things Cassidy retweeted came off disrespectful toward Meek Mill and MMG. When Meek Mill got wind of what Cassidy was retweeting, he obviously felt disrespected in some way because he responded directly to Cassidy via Twitter, telling Cassidy to say what he needs to say to his face and to stop hating. Although he did not make any statements himself, Cass splattered his page with Meek-related retweets.

“RT @TundeSwain @MeekMill did u listen to @cassidy_larsiny ?#MusicMayhem? ?#AP3? tape??,” Cass retweeted.

“RT @illuminlester How come when @MeekMill got put on mmg he aint do nothin wit @CASSIDY_LARSINY ? They my 2 favorite rappers”

“RT @Lucky7__ when @MeekMill was underground, the only known rapper was @CASSIDY_LARSINY to get on a track wit em!! Now everybody on his d*ck”

“RT @HTHAGREAT I’d B highly disappointed in @CASSIDY_LARSINY if he signed w/ that succa @rickyrozay “I cant say he a… http://tl.gd/ia6r84” (Cassidy’s Twitter)

While they have since been deleted from his page, screen shots of what Meek tweeted back are circulating online.

“@CASSIDY_LARSINY u on some clown sh*t right now….just say it 2 my face…I’m always home! #bitter”

“Yo @CASSIDY_LARSINY yall be getting beside y’all self with this send button dont confuse this twitter wit real life… #hating” (Meek Mill’s Twitter)

Meek did, however, leave a couple tweets which hinted at the dispute.

“When u eating everyday a n*gga gone have a problem wit ya! It’s a shame…get money and stop hating!,” he tweeted.

“Everyday I wake up somebody got a problem wit meek!” (Meek Mill’s Twitter)

Recently, New York producer Dame Grease hit up SOHH and said he fully co-signed Mill’s movement.

“I can tell you who’s the best new artist, that I like, with the lyrics and style. I like Meek Mill,” Grease told SOHH. “He’s like the f*ckin’ only rapper that’s been out for the past couple years. You gotta understand, man, I’m from the era of rapping on the corner in Harlem where the dude raps, you might get slapped at the same time. At the same time, that made me think about how DMX and The LOX came out with straight bars. So of course being straight bars, it’s always a part of it but knowing how the game goes, I’ve gotta re-forecast my direction toward image, different things. You know what I’m saying? Movement. Originality. Those different things, you know what I’m saying? But my basis is straight bars. You know what I’m saying? Straight bars. I ain’t gonna lie, for years, ain’t nobody kick no bars like, ‘Ohh. Ohh, that’s deep.'” (SOHH)
