NEWS: RICK ROSS’ CAMP ADDRESS CANCELLED AUSTRALIAN SHOWS, “HE IS VERY DISAPPOINTED”

Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross is staying grounded this weekend as his camp has issued a statement explaining the Boss not performing at Australia’s Supafest.

According to Ricky Rozay’s team, payment conflicts prevented him from performing.

Ross, on the steam of his widely popular mixtape, Rich Forever, was scheduled to headline Austrailia’s Supafest on April 14th in Brisbane, April 15th in Sydney, April 21st in Melbourne and April 22nd in Perth, but won’t be performing due to “unfulfilled contractual obligations.” “Ross was looking forward to touching the people of Australia,” says a representative from Ross’ camp. “This event is one of biggest urban festivals in Australia and he is very disappointed that he will not be performing. It is unfortunate that the payment arrangements did not meet contractual deadlines.” (RapFix)

This news comes just days after the Boss nixed a Guyana concert over an alleged medical emergency.

And now it’s been revealed by a promotion company in Guyana, where Rozay was set to perform yesterday, that he canceled his concert there because of a “medical emergency.” Here’s a portion of what Hits and Jams Entertainment released in a statement: “His management has given an undertaking that once he is cleared by doctors they are willing to work on an alternative date for the Guyana show.” If this ends up being true, we certainly wish Rozay the best in his recovery. Ross was also a no-show for a Houston concert last weekend.

A Rick Ross show at the newly renamed Bayou Music Center (formerly Verizon Wireless Theater) was cut short on Saturday night because one thing was missing: Rick Ross. The show, which included Ross understudy Ace Hood and Alief’s own Tank Law, was presented by promoters Real Uprizing. Conflicting reports continue to stream in as to the true reason for the absence of the Maybach Music boss. The openers took the stage as scheduled, but after an extended set by Go DJ Big Tho, the crowd became restless. At about ten minutes until midnight, an announcement was made that Rick Ross had suffered a seizure at his hotel and would be unable to perform. (Houston Press)

Following multiple seizures last fall, Ross previously nixed a few live concerts in October.

Ross’s Saturday night (October 22) show in Los Angeles has been rescheduled to January 2012. The promoters of the show tell TMZ that the decision to move the gig was a mutual agreement by both parties. “Pushing [Ross] to do a show that he was not prepared to do was not beneficial to anyone,” the promoters admit. The “B.M.F (Blowin Money Fast)” rapper has also backed out of a homecoming performance at Georgia State University, which was set for Friday (October 21). (BET)
