With his new track “MOTTO,” released today through NF Real Music/Virgin Music/EMI Records, Michigan rapper NF doesn’t pull any punches. Pay attention. The multi-platinum hitmaker is at his most rebellious on the second track from his upcoming HOPE album (out April 7), in which he analyses the current situation of the music business. He concludes that he should stop trying to fit in with the current culture and start being himself. A fascinating video to accompany “MOTTO” gathers hundreds of admirers for a satirical awards ceremony.

The video for “No Regrets” was directed by Patrick Tohill and features NF at a satirical awards event that echoes the song’s unapologetic stance. About a thousand of the rapper’s devoted fans from across the globe showed up to work as extras in Nashville, Tennessee, proving that he hasn’t forgotten his roots. Even the lines from “MOTTO” are recycled here (“may catch me at the award presentation, eatin’ popcorn in the back row”), showing that NF hasn’t completely lost his sense of humour. See NF’s lighter, wittier side in this video.
