Trey Songz isn’t too happy about how Nicki Minaj came at him on Twitter last month. Nicki felt that Trigga didn’t do enough to defend her honor after Remy Ma accused her of sleeping with him in her diss track “Shether.”
Anyway, it all seemed to die down — for a little while, anyway. Recently, Trigga offered up his opinions on the situation during a stop by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club after Charlamagne asked Trey if Nicki had served up an apology. Trey took it as far as suggesting he launched Onika’s career in a way.
“No she hasn’t, and Nicki I love you. And Nicki said she gave me six platinum, but let’s keep it real, Nicki ain’t had shit before ‘Bottoms Up,’” Trigga claimed. “I love you Nicki. I love you. You came at me wrong, you disrespected me, but I love you,” Trey continued.
Soon after, Minaj took to Twitter to return some subtle shade. “Barbz, could 1 of you send me a list of all my opening acts I’ve ever had on American & World Tours? thx – onika tanya maraj,” she tweeted on Sunday.
Her fans were more than happy to oblige listing many popular artists such as Ariana Grande, Rae Sremmurd, 2 Chainz, Tinashe and — lo and behold — Trey Songz. Some of them were quick to diss Tremaine for running afoul of their queen. And indeed, Trigga did open for The Pinkprint tour in Europe.
