UPDATE: (13th March): Dokta Frabz was not shot dead as earlier reported. New information reaching us confirms he slumped and died from complicated health issues.
According to reports from social media, Nigerian music producer and singer Dr Frabz was shot dead in the United States. It’s still unclear how and what took place as information surrounding his death hasn’t come to light yet.
The tweet that sparked this was from Nigerian singer Nikki Laoye who wrote, “Oh my God persevering face… My dear brother, Dr Frabz @DoktaFrabz… This is such terrible news. Just heard that he was shot… Who did this? I am so pained right now. What kind of news is this ehn?”
Samklef also took to his social media account to eulogise Dr Frabz. He wrote, “Rip legend! Ayo ( dr Frabz) We spoke 2 weeks ago u asked how is Houston treating me? I came to Maryland yesterday only for me to hear that u are no more today. What a sad day! A brother is gone! another producer is gone! RIP!”
Ever since the announcement of his death, other Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media to offer their condolence.
Frabz has worked with several music stars such as Wizkid, Naeto C, Davido, Dagrin, YQ, Shank, Omawumi and others and is well recognised for his production of the Late Dagrin’s ‘Thank God’ & ‘NLA’, WizKid’s “Bombay”, and “Joy” and many more.
