Noisey Raps Release Short Film on Pa Salieu’s Journey

The newest edition of Noisey Raps sees Coventry’s Pa Salieu articulate his journey to greatness.

The short film opens with Pa Salieu’s breakthrough track “Frontline”, joined with the rapper detailing his upbringing in Gambia and Coventry. The artist is in a reflective mood throughout the film, speaking on his journey thus far. Pa speaks on growing up in Gambia, which moulded his persona, leading onto his life in Coventry.

The title of the short film 19 Bullets in the Head Can’t Stop Pa Salieu cites a shooting incident in 2020 where Pa was shot in the head and survived despite having 19 pieces of a bullet in his head. Since then the artist’s career has continued to excel, featuring on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show as well at major UK festivals such as Reading and Parklife.
