Normani has finally dropped her long-awaited debut studio album, Dopamine. The 13-track album includes hit singles “1:59” featuring Gunna and the fan-favorite “Candy Paint.” It also features her 2021 collaboration with Cardi B, “Wild Side,” which closes out the album.
The project boasts an array of tracks such as “Big Boy,” “Still,” “Lights On,” “All Yours,” “Take My Time,” “Insomnia,” “Grip,” “Distance,” “Little Secrets,” and “Tantrums” featuring James Blake.
In an interview with Billboard, Normani opened up about the journey to releasing Dopamine. “Finally stepping into who I’ve been called to be,” she shared. “There’s been so much adversity and so many roadblocks just in the process of putting this body of work out, you have no idea. I could actually probably write a book. Shifting teams… has honestly been one of the greatest blessings.”
Before the release of Dopamine, Normani kept fans engaged with singles like “Fair” and her collaboration with Calvin Harris on “New To You” featuring Tinashe and Offset, both released in 2022.
Normani’s Dopamine showcases her growth and resilience, marking a significant milestone in her solo career.
