Bay Area musician OG DAYV returns with a brand new tune, “Lazy Susan,” featuring The Dakota Wytefoxx. The single is his first offering of the year, and it’s accompanied by a visual treatment that helps bring his lyrics to life.
OG DAYV is re-entering the spotlight after the success of his latest collaboration with Future on “Limoncello,” which appears on the official soundtrack for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Marvel blockbuster.
The song “Lazy Susan,” co-produced by Ben 10K and Danes Blood, is based on the idea of taking it easy. A “Lazy Susan,” for those who are unfamiliar with the term, is a turntable (spinning tray) used on a table or countertop to facilitate the distribution of food. OG Dayv adapted the sentiment behind this into an original musical composition.
OG DAYV said the song’s “crazy beat” inspired the music video’s wacky visuals. My team trusted Mikey’s directorial talents to execute a crazy notion. We wanted a cost-effective solution that would inspire us. Can you be a rapper without a brand-new Beamer? It’s a half-joke, but the video is ridiculous and perfectly reflects my goal.
