Hollywood has officially unveiled the nominations for this year’s Academy Awards, celebrating the most outstanding films, performances, and creatives from the past 12 months. The ceremony will take place on 15 March, hosted by US comedian Conan O’Brien, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most competitive Oscars in recent memory.

Leading the pack is vampire horror epic Sinners, which has shattered records with 16 nominations, becoming the most-nominated film in Oscar history. The previous record was jointly held by All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land, making Sinners’ achievement truly historic.
Close behind is One Battle After Another with 13 nominations, while Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, and Sentimental Value all secured nine nods. Hamnet follows closely with eight.
