OOO: AFRO, curated by the OUT OF ORDER label in collaboration with Warner Africa, offers a glimpse into the hotbed of sounds simmering across the African region – from finely crafted Amapiano and Afrobeats tracks to deep house and electronica moments – while also demonstrating the concept’s limitless capabilities. The OOO: AFRO artwork was designed by rising Ghanaian designer Nyahan Tachie-Menson, as a key element of OOO’s collections is to highlight talent of all mediums from the focused region.
“Duro,” a sizzling Afrobeats rapture helmed by British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Moelogo and super-producer P.Priime – the young Nigerian hitmaker behind some of the region’s biggest international smashes from the likes of Olamide, Wizkid, Fireboy DML and Zlatan to name a few; the superstar producer and the likes of dance diva Makhadzi ((“Ndi Linde”) balances out a guestlist also consisting of rising underground talent, like soulful vocalist Naye Ayla and feisty rapper Rouge on “I’ll Wait.”
OUT OF ORDER, a label launched by Warner’s Emerging Markets Division, will highlight artists, music, cultures, and communities from around the world, primarily through dance-leaning compilation albums. The label is further realised by a newly launched radio show, which will provide weekly mixes from DJs and producers all over the world, as well as a stylish merch line and an informative social media presence, which educates audiences on the origins of sounds, scenes, and cultures from around the world.
