Making his debut on HWING today is OXLEE with his brand new single “I Don’t Get You”.
Growing up in England and moving over to Australia the singer has been able to draw inspiration from both Continents to create his music. Developing his sound by working with producers across Australia and collaborating with other artists. His unique style of music is heavily influenced by Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars.
The new release “I Don’t Get You” is an R&B/Pop influenced track with a little bit of groove to it. OXLEE’s voice blends in smooth and perfectly with the guitars & bass as he navigates the track from the verse to the catchy chorus.
Describing the song OXLEE says;
“The song is about mixed emotions within a relationship, experiencing self-doubt and vulnerability. As the storyline of the song reveals itself, it becomes clear that the relationship has fallen apart. What makes this song so personal, are the lyrical metaphors and hidden meanings that have been spread out across the track. Throughout the writing process, Oxlee was experiencing a similar situation, using his circumstance to fuel the musical components and sharing a new and more emotional side to his music.”
“The inspiration was to tell the story as a novel, experiencing everything and more that follows a relationship falling apart. Starting with minimal instrumentation to build up the suspense and tell the story of heartbreak.”
