The big question surrounding Drake’s brand new album Views — aside from whether it’s a “classic,” of course — is: what the hell happened to Popcaan’s appearance on “Controlla“? Drizzy included Popcaan in his cast of collaborators during a meme-friendly spree on Instagram last night, but by the time Views hit iTunes, he was nowhere to be heard.

Anyway, thanks to this new single, Popcaan makes sure we don’t go without some authentic dancehall vibes this fine Friday. Produced by Notnice Records, “Ova Dweet” is a confidence-boosting anthem about how“woman haffi love me stye,” but also about not doing too much all the time (“Ahhh, mi nuh haffi boast and brag”). He may not have made it into Drake’s album for whatever reason, but Popcaan’s still going straight into the summer playlist with this one
