Music duo $VN return with another one.
The pair link up with music producer shubs for the new and exciting single dubbed ‘Way Out’ – a track which see the long time collaborators join super powers to create an outstanding track.
$VN’s sonic palette is vibrant, spanning multiple genres and styles. This track finds the duo
tapping into their more savage and unapologetic side, singing about the hustle, grind, and
sacrifices they’ve made to find a “Way Out” of a mundane, normal life. The lyrics are
headstrong with lines about going “ghost”, focusing on their grind, and disdain for previous
lovers. All of this is executed with their trademark smooth cadence on top of a lush, yet
hard-hitting production featuring a plethora of sounds pulling from genres like Hip-Hop, R&B,
and EDM. The song ebbs and flows with periods of calm, laid-back singing and periods of high
energy rapping, a testament to the duo’s musical versatility.
About the track, nyXsun explained, “When writing music, our goal is to express complex
emotional feelings in a palatable and relatable way for our listeners. Our fans may not go
through the same experiences as us, but they’ll be able to relate to the underlying emotion
conveyed through our lyrics and melodies. ‘Way Out’ is about our escape from a normal,
monotonous life to one that’s filled with excitement, progress, and growth, both personally and
musically. The song was inspired by the sights and sounds of Downtown Toronto. Pre-COVID,
it’s usually very busy with a lot of people out and about enjoying themselves, but there’s also
this very real hustle and bustle in the air. Everyone is out working towards their dreams and that
grind is contagious. This was the most important emotion we wanted to capture in this song.”
“Way Out” is $VN’s fifth release of the year and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. With
a deep catalog and plenty of unreleased content, $VN hope to continue their push to global
fame. Watch out for more hits from the dynamic duo this summer.
