Puff Daddy Talks New York Rap, ‘MMM,’ & “Losing His Soul” On Sway In the Morning.
Before dropping his MMM mixtape sonic motion picture on Friday, Puff Daddy stopped bySway In the Morning to deliver one of his motivational speeches. The 40-minute interview saw Puff at his chest-beating best (“I’m the number one hip-hop producer in the world,” “I’m living the black American dream”), but he also displayed his more vulnerable side, admitting that he “lost his soul” with songs like “Big Homie” and “Want the Love.”
However, he said he hopes that MMM will inspire New York’s new generation to make hit records while finding their own sound. Oh, and despite naming the project after the film, Puff confessed that he only saw Paid In Full two years ago. #LetHarlemDown.
