Brighton-based songwriter/producer purpl returns with her latest release “COLD W U”, out on the 29th March via Young Poet Records.
“COLD W U is a cautionary tale to myself. I was in a difficult relationship which I still resent to this day… it’s something I have found difficult to move on from, so writing about it has helped me to deal with that hurt and to serve as reminder to never fall into that trap again. I read somewhere that resentment is like drinking poison, which really resonated with me and forced me to address the issue rather than bottling it up. I hope this song provides some comfort to other people in a similar situation, so they know they aren’t on their own in feeling that way.”
Support for purpl so far has come from Spotify New Music Friday and BBC Introducing. purpl’s music has been streamed over 650,000 times on YouTube to date and press coverage has included LOCK Magazine, Spindle Magazine and Too Many Blogs amongst others.
purpl is set to release more material throughout 2019.
