Platinum-certified R&B singer and songwriter Queen Naija shared the official video for her new single, “Butterflies Pt. 2,” chatting with fans during the YouTube Premiere.
Directed by Roger Alexander and produced by Princess Mbanuzue, the vibrant video is an ode to happily-ever-afters. Shot in Atlanta, the clip traces the many stages of a relationship – from the first glance exchanged by two strangers to giddy first dates to the deeper love that emerges over time, yet still retains a fairy tale glow. Queen Naija and her boyfriend Clarence White star in the video.
“Butterflies Pt. 2” is the hypnotic sequel to Queen Naija’s “Butterflies,” which was one of three Platinum-certified singles from her self-titled debut EP, released in 2018 by Capitol Music Group. With its sweetly tender vocal work and dreamy yet minimalist, acoustic-guitar-laced production from Rice N’ Peas (Kiana Ledé, Bazzi),“Butterflies Pt. 2” landed on the biggest R&B playlists on four major platforms and has already surpassed 14 million cumulative global streams, generating an average of two million streams a week.
