R. Kelly and Tink team up for ”Put The Guns Down”.
Chance the Rapper, Twista, Rhymefest, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and more have voiced their non-support of Spike Lee’s controversial film Chi-Raq. Starring Nick Cannon, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett and more, the film comes with an original soundtrack arriving on Dec. 4.
Along with Jennifer Hudson, Jhené Aiko, and Nicki Cannon, Chi-town natives R. Kelly and Tink lend their voices for a greater cause, collaboration on the uplifting “Put The Guns Down.” “One man can’t do it by himself. I would hope that I have some type of influence out there on the younger and the older people,” says R. Kelly about the record. “As far as violence is concerned period, put the guns down, put the knives down and, most of all, put the hating down. Love is going to get us through all of things we’re going through.”
