R. Kelly

Three days after being charged and arrested on ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse, R. Kelly was released from a Chicago jail. The R&B singer posted $100,000 bond and released from Cook County Jail on Monday (Feb. 25). Just hours prior to the release, R. Kelly pleaded not guilty for each of the 10 charges of criminal aggravated sexual assault handed down last Friday (Feb. 22). Earlier on Monday, Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, said his client could not afford to post the required 10% of the $1 million bail.

Ten charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four victims between the ages of 13 and 16 were handed down to the 52-year-old. The singer surrendered himself to local police hours after those charges were issued.
