A lot of acts these days are multi talented, they can rap and sing but not many people know how to also play the instrument. Damian La Grange is just one of the few who can do all three. His style blends live instrument with synthesizers and its beautiful to hear. Damian La Grange is a 23 year old artist who began making quirky demo tracks as an awkward teen during his home schooled youth. After switching from home schooling to traditional high school, Damian formed an eclectic genre-bending band and pushed the project for nearly five years before embarking on his own solo endeavour. He has performed at notable music festivals Boonstock, Centre of Gravity and Canadian Music Week. Damian has also opened for notable artists Dirty Heads and Coleman Hell.
Beautiful Distraction, his newest single, was released yesterday January 4 and incorporates elements of indie rock, hip hop and R&B. The lyrical content dives into the difficulty of balancing a romantic relationship with the pursuit of a creative career. Finding someone who understands your passion and whose demons dance well with your own.
