Dreamhaus bring the “NRG” in new summer vibe tune.
Singer S. David of NYC-based collective DreamHaus is keeping the island vibe alive this summer with “NRG” produced by JYJWLZ. With sounds reminiscent to the steel pan blended with 808s, “NRG” infectiously fuses the Caribbean dancehall with modern R&B.
Serving as his second release of 2017, S. David wrote NRG after taking a extended break from music. “Recently losing my dad led me to the point where I lost myself and my creativity for over a year,” writes David. “Recently becoming a father has allowed me to grow into a brand new version of myself and my motivation to make music and be creative finally surfaced again.”
Dreamhaus, currently comprised of artists Shivs and S. David, is heavily influenced by the sounds, vibe and culture of 90’s and 2000s hip-hop and R&B. After making a splash in 2016 with their seductive single “ One Night ,” their Women On My Mind mixtape, and 2017’s “swirling R&B jam,” “FKLV,” the NYC-based crew is hard at work on new material with collaborators including Mari , NanaBCool & Simen Sez .
