Jamaican born Londoner Frass teams up with Brixton rapper RA for new single ‘My Ryder’ as he debuts his first single from his forthcoming release ‘Squad’.
Premiering the video on Link Up TV, the sexy visuals accompany the track in telling the story of a ride or die chick. Bold colours, moody lighting, smoky settings and a storyline inspired by the NAS and DMX cult hit movie ‘Belly’, see Frass and RA get lyrical with their new drop.
Opening with a powerful rendition of the eighties hit ‘Back to Life’ by Soul II Soul, the track transitions in to the smooth, self-produced bashment number from Frass before he brings in his mesmerising melodic delivery. In contrast, the south London rapper RA, who has made a huge come-back to the UK rap scene in recent months, delves in to his verse with his raw and gritty tone.
Deep rooted with a sound that is nourished by his Jamaican culture and UK upbringing, Frass has developed an impressive following since his debut in 2015, ‘XXXPLICIT’. Records such as ‘Batty Rider’ earned him Spotify playlist support and over 1 million streams with his other singles, including ‘Love & Dun’ topping over 370k streams. His list of collaborations have added further to his growth as the likes of Sneakbo, Abra Cadabra, Paigey Cakey, J Spades and Lisa Mercedes have all reached out for his sound too.
Preparing to drop his latest release to add to his ever-growing repertoire, ’Squad’ will be available from the 19th April and you can stream ‘My Ryder’ now on all DSP’s.
