The blistering 2-minute record is produced by Manu Crooks and co-produced by DOPAM!NE, featuring fellow African-Australian artist B Wise after previously working together on “Best Years”. “Throw It Back” serves as a follow-up single after the success of “Fuego“ (feat. Anfa Rose) released earlier this year.
With 2016’s “Assumptions” and 2017’s “Buddy Buddy“, Manu has consistently ended the year with unapologetic bangers. Now comes “Throw It Back” for 2018, with a music video coming in early 2019.
“Throw It Back” came about after The Kid Laroi opened up a forgotten beat Manu made in London earlier in the year. B Wise happened to be in the studio at the time and they started freestyling and playing around with it. The result is a spontaneous and dynamic sound as the two Sydney MC’s bounce off each other.
It’s smooth. It’s dirty. Throw it back. F*ck it up.
