Paralleil, 20 years old, born and raised in Baltimore City. I was always the quietest in the room and the most reserved, and even though I always stood outside of the crowd I still could somehow managed to get along with anyone in it. With a very open ear for music, as a kid I listened to a lot of rock & neo-soul ( Linkin Park, N*E*R*D, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Flobots, etc ). Over time I began to find favorites in the Rap/ Hip Hop scene as it grew more popular. Starting with artists like Gucci Mane, The Clipse, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco and more. I was always finding myself listening to a song over and over again to find new sounds within the beats, or other vocals really low in the mix. My love for music as a whole grew so much I decided I wanted to make music myself.
My greatest inspiration is Pharrell Williams but alongside others like Tyler the Creator, Shia Labeouf, Jaden Smith, Travis Scott, Kanye West, Kevin Abstract, Jedi P and more. Starting out I was afraid to broadcast my work, A lot of these names helped me embrace my craft.
“Buttons” was written, produced, and cover designed by myself. The song is about a guy infatuated by a girl who is prolonging and confused as to whether she does or doesn’t want to be with the guy. In which the guy is implying she just gives him a chance ( “press my buttons” ) because no one else is comparable. Frustrated by the situation he drives at night to clear his mind.
