Simón Shares New Release "Why I"

Simón, a youthful, dynamic, and extremely important talent from Miami, is releasing his second single, “Why I.”

Simon Villamizar, better known by his stage name Simón, is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter of Colombian descent who was born in Miami. His music is a fascinating melting pot of Anglo and Latino styles, a product of the multiethnic melting pot that is Miami. Red Dot Studio in Miami, Florida is where the song was recorded and produced by Jona Camacho and Alfonso Ordoez. Simon wrote “Why I” at the tender age of sixteen. The first EP Otled “Simón,” on which this song appears, is much anticipated for its innovative blend of trap, urban, deep-pop, and laOn. ArtBiz Design digitised the cover artwork created by renowned arOst and personal friend of Simón, Federico Uribe, for the EP. The shattered pencils on the cover are meant to symbolise the frustrations and obstacles that become more tangible through the acts of writing and reflection. The EP is planned for the early 2023 autumn.
