Think We’re Fine is the new single from UK based Alt R&B artist Sub Blue, taken from his upcoming new EP ‘Wilfully Blind‘.
Taking his name from his self-described style of music, “suburban blues”, Sub Blue offers a fresh take on chilled out, alternative introspective R&B. Already championed by a diverse set of influential platforms ranging from Complex to BBC 1Xtra to Spotify as well as amassing over half a million streams on his first few single releases, Sub Blue is set to take things up a notch with his new single,‘Think We’re Fine’.
‘Think We’re Fine‘ was produced by Sir Dylan (The Weeknd / Solange / Miguel / Logic ) and A.V (Frank Ocean) and features grime artist Manga Saint Hilare.
“Think We’re Fine’ is about how we live our lives carefree; spending money, doing whatever it is we want – without worrying about consequence or seeming not to. This is often glorified publicly making it so easy to bask in the glory of it. But behind all that, we are all fighting our own battles that not everyone knows about.
For the artwork, I used an image of Mac Miller, who I felt perfectly personified the emotion of the record to me. I am a big fan of his music but I think that tragedy, like many others, reflects the duality of celebrated recklessness and internal pain vs external perceptions.” – Sub Blue
