RADR: Sar — You Get Me [New Song]

Sar — You Get Me

A young rapper from Suffolk, UK, who is heavily influenced by the early Grime scene; Sar began writing lyrics from the age of 12. He grew up inspired by UK artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Ghetts & Devlin to name a few. Born and raised in the town of Ipswich and in desperate need of fresh inspiration, he embarked on a trip to Canada to further his passion for music at age 23.

Now Sar works closely with UK and Canadian based producers to bridge the sounds in his work. His experience in lyricism and adaptable versatility allow him to flow effortlessly on any style of instrumental he is feeling. His work on YouTube vastly showcases the breadth of substance he has to offer, from intelligent lyrics, trippy flows, aggressive punchlines, to melodic hooks and catchy choruses. An artist of many moods, Sar has something for everyone.

For his latest offering ‘You Get Me’ Sar has teamed up with German producer; Lasse Junge is a throwback to Sar’s earlier work – faster flows, metaphors, smiles and punchlines. Recorded in Vancouver but mixed and mastered in Suffolk by Producer Relly Crise, the simple but effective 140bpm beat, repetitive drum pattern and slightly off sounding strings ensure that Sar well and truly starts 2019 on the right note.
