Afrobeats star Rema has unveiled the official video for his latest single ‘Lady’, out now via Mavin Records/Jonzing World.
Directed and produced by Link Up TV’sTadas Vanagas and filmed in a dimly-lit garage in East London, the video sees Rema tied up and blindfolded while his female suitor dances suggestively around him.
A homage to the warm grooves of traditional African music, ‘Lady’ produced by Altims features on Rema’s massively well-received third EP ‘Bad Commando’, released earlier this year. Another runaway success matching the acclaim given to his self-titled debut project released in March.
The release of the video follows on from Rema’s unprecedented success across 2019. To date his music has been streamed over 50 million times worldwide with breakthrough hits ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Dumebi’ still amassing new traction and radio support from the likes of Manny Norte, Nadia Jae, DJ Target and A Dot.
After being featured in Barack Obama’s exclusive summer playlist and headlining London’s Boiler Room Festival, Rema’s status has continued to ascend to higher heights, recently being photographed with Hollywood A-Lister Jaden Smith and making a buzz-worthy appearance at Lagos Fashion Week.
The official video for ‘Lady’ is the perfect visual pairing for a track celebrating the majesty and beauty of African women worldwide.
