Amidst his ongoing feud with Drake, Rick Ross has given his recent track “Champagne Moments” the visual treatment, delivering a barrage of shots towards the Canadian rapper.
Directed by Shula The Don, the music video features the Miami rapper seated alongside his old school Chevy convertible, exuding confidence as he addresses various issues with Drake. Against the backdrop of promoting his upcoming third annual Car & Bike show on June 1, Ross wastes no time in hitting back at Drake’s perceived shortcomings.
In one particularly pointed verse, Ross raps, “Like his moves, but he never had to fight in school / Always ran, another nigga had to write your grooves.” He continues to call out Drake for allegedly copying flows and relying on others for his success, asserting, “Flow is copy-and-paste, Weezy gave you the juice / Another white boy at the park wanna hang with the crew.”
“Champagne Moments” serves as Ross’s response to Drake’s diss track “Push Ups“, where Drake targeted not only Rick Ross but also Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Future, and Metro Boomin. Drake’s lyrics in “Push Ups” referenced Ross’s age and alleged reliance on Drake for chart success.
As tensions escalate between the two artists, fans eagerly anticipate further developments in this ongoing feud.
