After more than two decades of writing rhymes, Rick Ross is penning a memoir. The book is called Hurricanes, which he says is a symbol of “surviving the storms of life” (and, of course, a nod to his native Florida’s notorious weather).

Co-authored by Neil Martinez-Belkin, the man behind Gucci Mane’s 2017 autobiography, Hurricanes will cover Rozay’s upbringing in Carol City, his transformation from drug dealer to rap mogul, and his various legal and health issues. Additionally, the book will address his well-documented time as a correctional officer.
“My story has always been deeper than rap,” Ross said in a statement. “With this book I wanted to go deeper than I ever have. I wanted to tell people about the life of William Leonard Roberts.”
Hurricanes hits shelves on September 3, 2019 via Hanover Square Press. You can pre-order the book here.
