Rick Ross spent exactly one week in jail after he was initially denied a bail. Now, the rapper is a free man, but he paid a hefty price for his freedom. To be precise, he has been released in exchange for $2 million, TMZ reports.
The MMG head honcho, who ended up behind bars after allegedly pistol-whipping his groundskeeper for inviting friends over for a birthday celebration, has spilt the payment in three: $500,000 in cash, another half-a-mill from a bail bondsman and $1 million in equity from his Georgia mansion. Also, Ross will have to wear an ankle-monitor for a while.
Rozay is still facing charges of assault, kidnapping, and aggravated battery. In case he intimidates or threatens any witnesses to the crime, his lawyers offered up the entirety of the Georgia property listed in the bond to the county. The house in question, previously owned by Evander Holyfield, is the largest single family home in the state. The artist purchased it back in February of 2014 for $5.8 million.
