In light of Meek Mill’s recent sentencing to prison after violating probation, a rally was held outside the Criminal Justice Center in Philadelphia to protest the ruling and showcase how important the Dreamchasers’ CEO is to the community.
Leading the charge alongside Rick Ross and Meek’s mother, 76er’s basketball legend Dr. J also attended the gathering, calling the punishment “excessive” and “cold.” The hall of famer also questioned the judge’s motives in the case, wondering why she decided against the recommendations of her own D.A.’s office.

Sadly there are Black folks going through the same radicalized injustice(s) within the justice system that Meek Mill has experienced for over a decade EVERY SINGLE DAY. This requires more than just gradual reform in laws—It requires a swift overhaul. pic.twitter.com/Mt13BwnIvJ
