Watch Rihanna’s Music Video From The New Star Trek Soundtrack.
A few days ago, Rihanna surprised fans by dropping her new Sia-penned single “Sledgehammer” off the upcoming Star Trek movie’s official soundtrack. It’s currently sitting at a 35% user rating, but that’s not going to deter Rihanna. Thursday morning, she dropped the single’s official music video.
Directed by Floria Sigismondi, “Sledgehammer” takes Rihanna to a far away planet, where she broods dramatically amidst a landscape of towering rock pillars. The video begins modestly; by the end, it has become a truly cosmic spectacle.
“Star Trek Beyond” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana. It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22.
