Rihanna performed at Apple Music’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show at State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday (Feb. 12) after almost five years.
The pop star launched her 13-minute performance on a floating platform with “Bitch Better Have My Money” and “Where Have You Been” in an enormous red costume. Ri then performed “Only Girl In The World,” “We Found Love,” “S&M,” “Rude Boy,” and “Work” on the field with over 100 dancers in white Savage X Fenty jumpsuits.
Ri’s medley featured “Pour It Up,” “Wild Thoughts,” “All Of The Lights,” “Run This Town,” and “Umbrella” before she levitated again with “Diamonds.”
Millions of spectators thought the new mother was pregnant throughout the performance. Her team verified pregnancy. In May 2018, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had a son.
Rihanna’s first broadcast performance was during Super Bowl LVII. Ri, whose previous tour was her 2016 Anti tour, sang “Wild Thoughts” alongside DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller at the Grammys in 2018.
Sunday saw Rihanna’s biggest day in Apple Music history by streams worldwide. It was also her biggest day in Shazam history. The platform reports that the singer’s concurrent listeners on Apple Music worldwide jumped a staggering 331%. The hour following her halftime show was Rihanna’s biggest hour in Apple Music history by both concurrent listeners and streams.
