Award-winning jazz-folk artist and writer Rowan Flack makes a graceful return with “Make Me Whole”, her first release since 2024’s Forest Fires EP and the first glimpse into her forthcoming project Nap on the Sofa, arriving via Pretty Decent Music.
Opening with a tender piano arpeggio, “Make Me Whole” unfolds patiently, layering textural percussion and fluid melodies to create an atmosphere both intimate and expansive. Across its five-minute runtime, the song drifts through longing, reflection, and the subtle beauty found in emotional distance, a meditation on wholeness, connection, and quiet moments of clarity.
Fusing folk-rooted warmth with contemporary European jazz sensibilities, Flack crafts a soundscape that feels lived-in yet weightless. The composition’s emotional pull is accentuated by gentle trumpet improvisations and dynamic drumming, giving the record an almost cinematic sense of movement.
