Leading the pack this week is singer Adele’s 21, who coincidentally enjoys her 21st week at No. 1 with 729,900 sold copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the UK crooner’s newest LP has shelled out 7,352,600 copies after 52 weeks.
Late music icon Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits received a four-slot boost to No. 2 with 175,100. Since its release over a decade ago, the album has sold over ten million copies worldwide.
The 2012 Grammy Nominees jumped up three slots to No. 5 with 84,800. With four weeks in the books, the compilation project has pushed out 222,100 records.
Pop star Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans received a huge boost, moving 22 slots to No. 8 with 37,900. After 72 weeks, the singer’s latest solo offering has moved 1,533,200 copies.
Young Money star Drake’s Take Care fell two slots to No. 12 with 31,000. With 14 weeks in the books, Drizzy’s sophomore album rests at 1,469,400 units sold.
Grammy-winning singer Rihanna’s Talk That Talk moved up a notch to No. 17 with 26,300. After 13 weeks in stores, her newest LP has sold 674,500 copies.
Rap duo LMFAO’s Sorry For Party Rocking slipped seven spots to No. 18 with 24,900. Headed into week 36, their new LP has sold 677,500 units.
Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition slipped three slots to No. 26 with 20,400. Headed into his tenth week of availability, the “Snowman’s” latest offering has sold 461,800 records.
Grammy-winning rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne moved down a notch to No. 28 with 19,500. After 28 weeks, the duo’s new joint LP has moved 1,335,900 copies.
R&B veteran Mary J. Blige’s My Life II…The Journey Continues dropped nine slots to No. 30 with 19,200. With 13 weeks out of the way, the Queen of R&B’s new LP has hit gold status with 517,100 sold records.
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV fell eight slots to No. 39 with 16,100. With 25 weeks down, Weezy’s summer LP has sold 2,013,400 records.
Evening things out in Top 50 is Beyonce’s 4 dropping eight slots to No. 46 with 12,800. With 34 weeks in the books, the singer’s new LP has sold 1,135,700 units.
