After hearing Samm Henshaw’s latest single “Hair Down,” it’s clear he’s stepping into a new creative space lighter, freer, and more soulful than ever. The track grooves effortlessly, built around an easy rhythm and Samm’s smooth, uplifting vocals. It carries a simple message: sometimes you just need to let go, breathe, and “let your hair down.”
The single also arrives alongside It Could Be Worse, Samm’s previously vinyl-only project, after months of fan demand. Having had the chance to listen through it, the record feels like a genuine reflection of personal growth. Written after his first major heartbreak, Samm digs deep into the emotional lessons that come with change and vulnerability.
Recorded in LA with Anoop D’Souza, OGI, and executive producer Josh Grant, the album’s live instrumentation gives it a real warmth and soul you can feel the honesty in every note. It’s the sound of an artist reconnecting with himself, both creatively and personally.

To top it off, Samm’s about to take this new chapter on the road with a 30-date world tour, starting in Tokyo on January 27 and finishing with a big homecoming show at KOKO, London, on March 24. After his recent intimate listening sessions across NYC, LA, Tokyo, and London, this next run feels like the start of something special for him.
