Sampha premiered his new single “Under” on Beats 1.
Sampha got his biggest exposure when he was the lead voice on one of Drake’s most honest and open moments rapping, “Too Much,” from his Nothing Was The Same album. Since, he’s worked with Kanye West, Beyoncé, Solange, SBTRKT a whole bunch more, Frank Ocean and others while crafting his official entry to the music world — his debut album, Process.
Landing at 10 song, the tracklist is highlighted by singles “Timmy’s Prayer,” “Blood On Me” and “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano” — a painstaking therapy session dedicated to his late mother and the free and creative home she raised him in.
Before the album drops tonight, though, he shares one final song, “Under.” Premiered via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, the two talked about the recording of the album, the anticipation of finally dropping it, making a song with Kanye West and more.
You can hear “Under” below, and pre-order Process on iTunes.
