Shae OT: My first experience with music was hearing Jay-Z and UGK’s song “Big Pimpin” as a kid. The beat got me excited. My mom always played various music genres at home, from House to UK Garage, sparking my interest in creating music.

Shae OT: During the pandemic, I was playing a lot of PS4 games. I came across a game menu theme from Watch Dogs, turned it into a drill beat, and posted it on social media. It went viral, and I started remixing more game soundtracks, including requests. Seeing the viral response was surreal.

Shae OT: House and DNB influenced me significantly. I incorporated sidechaining and harmonics from these genres into my beats. DNB’s harmonic bass lines shaped my bass sounds.

Shae OT: My parents, especially my dad from So Solid, influenced me. My mom introduced me to various genres, helping me understand music. My dad taught me the basics of music production and software like Logic.
