Global dancehall and R&B sensation Shenseea kicks off a new chapter in her career with the explosive single “BOSS UP”, marking her Sony Music debut via Columbia/Since ’93.
Drawing inspiration from Blu Cantrell’s early-2000s hit “Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops)”, the GRAMMY-winning artist channels pure empowerment with assertive lyrics like “Stack ya paper, get ya weight up… BOSS UP!” — a bold anthem about independence, confidence, and feminine strength.
Speaking on the release, Shenseea shared: “‘BOSS UP’ is about owning your power and embracing independence as a woman. I wanted to honour that golden R&B era that’s always inspired me.”
The single’s official video packed with choreography, vibrant style, and Shenseea’s girl crew also drops today, setting the tone for what promises to be an unstoppable new era for the Jamaican star.
