UK-based Afrowave artist Afro B follows up his global sensation “Drogba (Joanna)” and his most recent release “Go Dance” ft. Busy Signal with a huge new track “Fine Wine and Hennessy” ft. Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi – the second offering from his new album “Afrowave 3”, out October 1th.
A warm, slow burner that bounces and vibes over a low-ebb bassline with Afro’s trademark vocals balancing Jxmmi’s emotive 16 bars. The soon-to-drop album follows the incredible rise of the Afrowave pioneer, with “Drogba (Joanna)” capturing huge international acclaim and traction in the past year. Boosted by Afro B’s viral #DrogbaChallenge dance challenge, he received support from the likes of Drake, Wizkid, Diddy, Shaquille O’Neal, Winnie Harlow amongst others, even legendary Chelsea footballer Didier Drogba himself.
Since the original heat, French Montana has hopped on the remix of the record, Cardi B posted from the club singing the chorus, and Rae Sremmurd recently brought him out at this summer’s Wireless Festival – underlining Afro B’s status as an emerging superstar.
Afro B’s influence and stature continues to grow as he becomes rightfully recognised as one of the pioneers of exporting the African sound over to the US and the globe.
