Smino has unveiled the music video for his latest single, “Polynesian,” bringing a vibrant visual treatment to the track.
Inspired by the covert art, the video showcases the St. Louis rapper working at a late-night fast-food joint, waiting tables, and manning the drive-through before cozying up with a love interest in the kitchen.
Over the Cade-produced beat, Smino delivers clever lines like, “You don’t know my body / I got an A in anatomy / I got a fuck-nigga allergy,” and continues with, “I never fucked with you actually, yeah / I get my pants from the Japanese, yeah / Open the trunk like a fiber wing, yeah / Could never trick, even Halloween, yeah / I take a bad bitch to Jollibee, yeah.”
“Polynesian” is Smino’s second release this year, following February’s “Mister Misfit But Ain’t Missed A Fit In Months.” This track is his first since his 2022 album, Luv 4 Rent. Earlier this month, Smino also graced the stage at the Roots Picnic, further solidifying his dynamic presence in the music scene.
