Stepz, a rising talent from South London, has released a new rap single called “Book Bag,” which will appear on his upcoming debut EP Step By Stepz. The young entrepreneur, who has been taking over the internet since being named TikTok’s most-viewed UK artist last year, recruits Ms. Banks for a comedic star cameo in this music video set in a frantic classroom.
Stepz has quickly risen to prominence as one of the most exciting new artists driving young culture in London, thanks in large part to the infectious confidence with which he raps about aspiration, fun, and enterprise. His latest project, “Book Bag,” was mixed by UK stable Scratch (Kwengface, Blanco, Stefflon Don), and it showcases Stepz at his most buoyant, with his choppy flows encouraging kids to grind with focus and rejecting trap life in favour of investigating philosophies of development, education, and long-term success.
The 20-year-old artist navigates through colourful school settings in the video, which was created by Don Prod and The Youngest Plug. In the video, the artist shows the connection between his school experience and the fast speed of his lifestyle. The video debuts his soon-to-be-released shoe line Steppers and features a humorous appearance by Ms Banks.
