After teasing the album with several singles, Stonebwoy releases “5th DIMENSION” album.
This is Stonebwoy’s first project after earning a landmark deal with Def Jam and releasing his massive breakthrough song “Therapy,” followed by “GIDI GBA,” both of which showcase his innate skill at fusing Ghanaian rhythms and deep percussion with Reggae and Dancehall components. The album’s main song, “Life & Money,” features the Brit Award-winning and platinum-selling British musician, Stormzy, and was produced by the Grammy Award-winning JAE5. The album as a whole consists of seventeen excellent tracks. Stonebwoy is one of the most influential musicians on the African continent, and this song is a showcase of his skillful blending of Reggae, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, and Trap. The album also has appearances by Davido, Angelique Kidjo, Oxlade, Shaggy, Tiwa Savage, Jaz Karis, and Mereba; Supa Dups, FanaTix, Gideonite, Streetbeatz, and Jugglerz contributed to the album’s production.
The Ghanian incendiary has been on an upward trend, gaining millions of streams and Instagram followers and performing to sold-out arenas across the world. Stonebwoy is one of Ghana’s important new generation heroes, blending worldwide successes with a rare political will as a strong proponent of Pan Africanism, the merging of all African states, and he just became the first Ghanian artist to reach 100 million streams across Africa’s largest platform, Audiomack.
