SZA Brings & Vince Staples Bring Out Kendrick Lamar at Coachella 2018

Coachella 2018 is in full swing, as Day 1 kicked off on Friday in Indio, CA. Along with headliner The Weekend, the opening day was highlighted by a group of today’s rising stars like Vince Staples, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis and more. Returning to the music festival for a second time, SZA took over Coachella’s main stage at night with a soulful set. The TDE songstress opened her 43-minute set with a stripped down version of “Supermodel,” while covered in a baggy jump suit. The glowing singer would soon take off the baggy clothes during “Go Gina,” revealing a sexy hot pink outfit.

Throughout the show, SZA ran through songs off her platinum-selling CTRL debut album. Along with performing her Rihanna collaboration “Consideration,” the 27-year-old brought out guests Isaiah Rashad (” Pretty Little Birds”) and Trippie Redd (“Dark Knight Dummo”). The biggest surprise came for the finale, as SZA was joined by Kendrick Lamar for CTRL‘s “Doves in the Wind” and closing with their Billboard smash-hit “All the Stars” off the TDE-curated Black Panther soundtrack.
