TMZ reports that T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment company filed the lawsuit, claiming the singer is owed more than $500,000 for his work on the multi-platinum selling record. T-Pain’s biggest contribution on C3 was the album’s single “Got Money,” which the Florida native produced and was featured on.

Back in June 2011, the song’s producers Play-N-Skillz sued the label for $1 million over unpaid royalties for “Got Money.” Most recently, David Banner sued Young Money for $150,000 in unpaid royalties from Tha Carter III. His contributions included production on the tracks “La La” and “Pussy Monster.”

Released in 2008, Tha Carter III sold more than 3.2 million copies in the U.S. alone.
