New reports indicate that Solange’s infamous attack stemmed from Jay Z’s choice to go to Rihanna’s after party without Beyonce.
Solange and Jay Z’s elevator scuffle has been the inescapable news story of the last 24 hours, mainly because of the lack of information provided. The joke of the day was coming up with the most ridiculous scenarios that could have put the younger Knowles sister in such a frenzy.
Today we have been given some answers– though they come from anonymous sources.
According to the New York Daily News, there were actually two reasons for Solange’s fury, the first of which came when her friends decided to crash the party, claiming they were guests of Jay.
When Hov’s security was alerted about the issue, Jay reportedly approached Solange, telling her “don’t use my name”.
This is apparently when Knowles decided she’d like to leave, at which point Jay thought he might check out Rihanna’s after party solo.
On the elevator ride, Solange decided to grill Jay Z and Beyonce for the decision, as a source recalls what was said in the lift.
“She said, ‘Why can’t you go home?’ and to Beyonce ‘Why does your husband need to go to the club right now?'”
Solange then got physical when Hov replied, “You’re one to talk”.
So far no official statement has been made by anyone involved, but it turns out Solange has been shading Beyonce on Instagram since the incident.
