The hitmaking singer/songwriter sat down with Ebro Darden to speak on the new album, the recent ‘King of R&B’ debate started by Jacquees, his thoughts on the R. Kelly saga, and the slow legalization of marijuana not benefitting the black communities hit hard when the recreational drug was illegal.
At the 23:25 mark of the interview, The-Dream revealed plans to drop re-releases of Love Hate and Love vs. Money with two bonus tracks, plus filming music videos for “Fancy” and “Fast Car,” two standout songs off each project. Known for his work with the biggest names in music, The-Dream touched on the status of Rihanna’s highly-anticipated new album saying ‘she’s about done’ and ‘super close’ to being completed. Beyoncé, meanwhile, is ‘doing something’ according to the Grammy Award-winning singer. The ‘Radio Killa’ closed the interview speaking on spending time in Wyoming with Kanye, Drake, Kid Cudi and Travis Scott last year, recording 24 ideas during those sessions, and taking a song involving some of those artists for a future project.
