Listen to “El Chapo” by The Game Feat. Skrillex.
The Game drops that new fire for the streets, “El Chapo” featuring Skrillex.
The Game also joined The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore to discuss cultural appropriation alongside Robin Thede and Cipha Sounds.
The panel talked about a range of topics from the white people putting her hair in cornrows, using the word “n-” word and, of course, using color-specific emojis.
The Game took a relatively relaxed approach to most of the topics. “They saw a hairstyle, they liked it, who cares who wore it first?” he said, regarding to Kylie Jenner putting her hair in cornrows. He followed saying that he doesn’t really care when people use the “n-” word in a non-derogatory way, obviously. “I think when I was ten, that would’ve offended me. But these days, everybody just kind of uses it.” If you ever send Jayceon a black emoji and you’re not black, though? “That’s offensive.” The Game has always picked his battle carefully, and the topic of cultural appropriation is no different.
Watch Wilmore’s panel, which always provides hilarity and insight on controversial topics, above.
