The Weeknd teamed up with VEVO to throw a free — but no less extravagant — show for lucky fans in Los Angeles over the weekend, but he wasn’t the only star at the show. During “Sidewalks,” the XO singer brought out surprise guest and hometown hero Kendrick Lamar to perform his verse off their Starboy collaboration. “It wasn’t just a random Kendrick Lamar verse,” The Weeknd said about the song during a recent interview with Zane Lowe. “It was something special.”
