Very rarely are black women thought of when you hear the word duality, but that’s exactly what we embody. Stand By is a great musical representation of the many ways I show the dualism in my personality and sheer existence. A sense of firm belief in every word of what I say while delivering so in a gentle way. Who knew the revolution could be delivered so delicately.
